p>I absolutely LOVE what I do! Having the opportunity to work with dogs, and to bring peace and safety to the lives of my canine friends and their owners is very rewarding for me. From time to time I am faced with interesting challenges in my work trainig dogs. These challenges have resulted in many, many happy endings, some very sad endings, as well as frustrations and heart-warming satisfaction. I always talk about how much I love working with dogs, but I also love working with the caring people who own these dogs. This experience recalls a recent trip to Tennessee where I had the opportunity with meet some people who are good as gold.
When I first decided I wanted to pursue dog training as a career path, I didn't realize how much I had yet to learn. I am very grateful to a special trainer who took me under her wing and helped change my life.
The love a dog feels for its owner is a powerful thing - sometimes too powerful. What I mean by that is a dog can become so attached to you that it becomes overly protective and potentially dangerous to others in your family, your neighbors and visiting to your home. My friend Adrienne had just such a dog, and as a holiday treat, I thought I'd let her tell you more about her runaway Christmas dog.
